In Southern Africa, Mondelez committed funding to develop resilience, competitiveness and sustainability for sugar producers in Malawi, Mauritius and Eswatini. The programme aims to deepen impact for producers covering areas of organisational strengthening, climate change mitigation and income diversification among others. In Eswatini POs have initiated income diversification projects such as feedlot (cattle fattening) business and irrigated vegetable plots for cooperative members to provide nutritious food for their families.
